Spray Applied Membranes
GMX™ Waterproofing System – No Leaks. No Worries.
This system uses GMX’s Ultra Shield WB waterproofing membrane. It’s a water-based polymer-modified asphalt membrane spray-applied to exterior concrete foundation walls. It’s an environmentally friendly, lower cost, elastic waterproofing barrier that protects your basement against water leaks by bridging non-structural cracks and resisting hydrostatic pressure. This product is sprayed on easily and cures to a minimum film thickness of 60 mils. GMX’s system waterproofs and drains water away from the basement.
Dimple Boards Waterproofing Membrane
Delta®-MS Foundation Waterproofing Membrane
DELTA®-MS is an 8mm dimpled HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) membrane that utilizes an “air gap” between the foundation wall and the membrane, which acts as a capillary break to stop water from reaching the foundation wall. This unique design provides drainage by gravity for any condensate water from drying concrete, or other incidental water which directs it to the foundation footer and then to the outflow drain lines.
Peel And Stick Membranes
CCW Miradri 860/861
CCW MiraDRI 860/861 is a self-adhering sheet membrane consisting of 56 mils (1.4 mm) of rubberized asphalt laminated to 4 mils (0.1 mm) of polyethylene to form a minimum 60-mil (1.5 mm) membrane. The combination of these two excellent waterproofing materials provides a high-performance, extremely durable waterproofing barrier.
Insulation & Drainage
Explore The Possibilities
In our southern Wisconsin climate, keeping the basement warm is almost as important as waterproofing the foundation. Sierra Concepts offers many different insulation possibilities for your basement. We offer traditional closed cell polystyrene rigid foam boards, graphite polystyrene boards (GPS) Rigid insulation, and drainage boards.
ThermalDrain Drainage Board
ThermalDrain drainage board is installed over the GMX’s Ultra Shield WB membrane to offer one of the highest waterproofing warranties in the industries. ThermalDrain drainage board is an insulation board that pulls water from the surrounding soil and pushes that water to the drain tile system for the house. This eliminates hydrostatic pressures on your foundation, helping to eliminate cracking of your foundation. We can provide this in several thicknesses to give you the comfort and thermal protection you are looking for.
Increase Your Living Space
Window Wells
As construction costs continue to increase, making the space in your basement a finished space has become a more widely used process. The state of Wisconsin building codes requires that if you are going to have a bedroom in the basement, you must include a second option to evacuate the basement other than your stairway. Egress windows have become a popular way to handle that.
Stay Dry And Comfortable
Precast Waterproofing
If you are thinking of having a room under your garage, and you need the precast concrete in the garage waterproofed, we have several options for you. From peel and stick, to hot mopped, or cold applied membranes, Sierra Concepts can make sure your rooms stay dry, and comfortable.
Residential Waterproofing FAQ
Proper foundation waterproofing is essential for protecting your home from water damage, basement leaks, and long-term structural issues. Without the right system in place, moisture can lead to cracks, mold, and costly repairs, turning what should be a safe, comfortable home into an ongoing problem.
Sierra Concepts provides a wide range of solutions, including spray-applied membranes, dimpled boards, peel-and-stick systems, insulation and drainage boards, window wells, and precast waterproofing. Each system is selected based on your home’s design, soil conditions, and overall waterproofing needs.
Spray-applied waterproofing creates a seamless, elastic barrier on exterior foundation walls that helps prevent water intrusion. It is designed to bridge small cracks and resist hydrostatic pressure, keeping your basement dry while offering an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution.
